During the latest episode of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss became visibly upset with Marlo Hampton and accused her of being inauthentic. The 47-year-old reality star confronted Marlo, also 47, during a group event after discovering that Marlo had been discussing a shooting incident involving a former employee at Kandi’s Atlanta restaurant.
In a private conversation with Marlo, Kandi passionately expressed her frustration, stating, “No, you’re trying to link your cousin’s shooting to me, but it had nothing to do with me! I already informed you that he no longer worked with us. So, I fail to understand why you’re bringing it up as if his shooting is somehow connected to me and my restaurant. Stop doing that!”
In a confessional, Kandi further explained, “She constantly seizes any opportunity to bring me down, and that’s a problem I have with her.”
In her own confessional, Marlo clarified that she wasn’t upset with Kandi over the loss of her nephew but rather frustrated with Kandi’s tendency to overlook certain matters.
Kandi proceeded to retrieve their text messages from 2014, revealing that Marlo had asked her to join Cameo shortly after the shooting incident took place.
During the conversation with Kandi, Marlo had her hands behind her back, which led Drew to accuse her of attempting to start a physical altercation with Kandi. However, Kandi assured a producer during a confessional that she didn’t feel threatened by Marlo.
Sheree chimed in, expressing her frustration that Marlo’s past is constantly brought up and used against her. She found it highly disrespectful.
Feeling the tension, Kandi decided to leave the scene and drove away in her car.
Courtney Rhodes, the organizer of the event, made an effort to persuade the women to return inside the escape room lounge.
